In 2020 good fortune was with Aaron and I and we found ourselves hiking from Denver to Durango along the Colorado Trail, "mile for mile, the most beautiful trail in America" according to the official guidebook...
"The Colorado Trail crosses eight mountain ranges, six National Forests, six Wilderness Areas, and five river systems."
"It winds its way through fields of wildflowers to high mountain passes, from wild mountain streams to quiet trails through old-growth forests."
It was truly a journey of epic proportions gaining almost 90,000 vertical feet while hiking across 485 miles with the average elevation of 10,300 feet.
We've detailed our experience in this journal so we can relive it anytime and you can follow along on our adventure. Perhaps we will be the spark encouraging your own Colorado Trail adventure.
If you're even considering tackling it we say wholeheartedly 'go for it.'
We guarantee your life will never be the same again, how could it?
